
Montreal recalls D'Agostini from Hamilton

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that forward Matt D'Agostini has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
D'Agostini, 22, has played in all 20 of the Bulldogs games this season and leads the team in goals with 14 and points with 25 (14 goals, 11 assists). Last season, the native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario competed in one game with the Canadiens recording no points and two penalty minutes. In 76 games with Hamilton in 2007-2008, D'Agostini ranked second on the club in points with 53 (23 goals, 30 assists).
The 6-foot, 200-pound right wing, in his third season with the Bulldogs, has played a total of 159 regular season games for the 'Dogs registering 127 points (58 goals, 69 assists). Montreal's 6th round, 190th overall, selection in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft also won the Calder Cup with Hamilton in 2007, ranking fourth on the team in scoring with 13 points (four goals, nine assists) after playing in all 22 post-season games.
The Bulldogs take their three-game winning streak to Binghamton to battle the Senators on Saturday, November 29th at 7:05 p.m. before heading to Montreal to host the Senators for a 5:00 p.m. match-up on Sunday, November 30th at the Bell Centre.
