Blues Assign Steve Wagner to Peoria

Peoria, Ill. (November 27, 2008) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has assigned defenseman Steve Wagner to their Blues' American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Wagner, 24, has skated in 16 games for the Blues this season, collecting two points (one goal, one assist) along with 18 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 191-pound defenseman has played in 40 National Hockey League games, all with St. Louis, collecting 10 points (three goals, seven assists).
This will mark the third season that Wagner has spent time with Peoria. He appeared in 23 games with the Rivermen last season and recorded 12 points (five goals, seven assists). Overall he has played in 47 AHL games, all with Peoria, and has scored six goals and nine assists.
The Grand Rapids, Minnesota native was signed by the Blues as an undrafted free agent on March 20, 2007.
The Rockford IceHogs will be at Carver Arena to take on the Rivermen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jennette McCurdy, who plays Sam on Nickelodeon's iCarly, will be signing autographs and meeting with fans beginning at 6:30p.m.
