SAN JOSE, California - Monterey Bay F.C. heads North for its third in-state match in a row to face Bay Cities FC at PayPal Park, home of the San Jose Earthquakes, for the Second Round of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, April 6. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT and can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Bay Cities FC is a new club in its inaugural season in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). Currently in second place in the NISA West Division with two points, Bay Cities will be playing in its first-ever U.S. Open Cup match. After two scoreless draws in league play, Bay Cities will also be looking to score its first goal in the club's history.
Entering into the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in the Second Round, Monterey Bay F.C. is coming off of two consecutive Northern California away trips with recent visits to Oakland and Sacramento that resulted in the club's first-ever win, 3-2 against Roots SC on March 26. The Union will now be looking to rebound from a 1-2 loss in Sacramento over the weekend with a win in its third match at PayPal Park this season. With a victory, Monterey Bay F.C. would advance to the Third Round on April 19-21, with the draw to determine the club's would-be next opponent taking place on April 8 at 9:00 a.m. PT.
