Manchester Monarchs News Release
MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will face the Hartford Wolf Pack in the Eastern Conference Finals of the Calder Cup Playoffs with Game 1 set for Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

How We Stack Against the Pack
- This will be the third ever playoff series between Manchester and Hartford and the first since 2006. The Wolf Pack beat the Monarchs in five games in the 2002 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals and in seven games in the 2006 Atlantic Division Semifinals.
- The Monarchs posted a 3-0-0-1 record against the Wolf Pack during the regular season, which included going 2-0-0-0 against them at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Hartford has not beaten the Monarchs in regulation since Apr. 4, 2014.
- Manchester outscored Hartford 15-11 in the regular season series and scored at least four goals against them in three of the four games.
- Sean Backman led all Monarchs' scorers with seven points (2 goals, 5 assists) in four games against Hartford this season.
Weal Goes Round Record Book
- Jordan Weal has a team-leading 15 points through 10 games in the postseason with 10 goals and five assists. He is the first player in Monarchs' history to ever score double-digit goals in a single postseason and he is two points shy of Patrick O'Sullivan (17 points in 2007) for the most points ever by a Manchester player in a single playoff.
- Weal led the Monarchs with eight points (5 goals, 3 assists) in their conference semifinals win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. His hat trick in Game 4 made him the third player in franchise history to record three goals in a single playoff game, joining Bud Holloway (Apr. 17, 2011) and Adam Mair (Apr. 17, 2002).
- With 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 18 career postseason games, Weal ranks third on the all-time franchise list behind Bud Holloway (25 points) and Justin Azevedo (21 points).
How'd We Get Here?
- The Monarchs beat Portland in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, three games to two. Manchester's win in Game 5 was the franchise's first ever victory in a winner-take-all playoff game (1-3). It was the Monarchs' first series win since the 2010 Division Finals against Worcester.
- The Monarchs scored at least five goals in all three of their wins in the Portland series and outshot the Pirates 152-104.
- Manchester won its best-of-seven series against the Penguins, four games to one. It was just the second time in team history the Monarchs won a seven-game playoff series in five games or less. The other was a four-game sweep of Portland in the 2010 Atlantic Division Semifinals. It marked the third time in franchise history they advanced to the conference finals.
- The Monarchs are a perfect 5-0 at the Verizon Wireless Arena since the start of the playoffs and have a 7-0 record when scoring the first goal of the game.
