Blackhawks Anthem Singer Jim Cornelison to Perform Before Game 5

Rockford, Ill. - With the Chicago Blackhawks on the road to begin their Western Conference Finals series against the Anaheim Ducks, a popular figure known for his electrifying recital of the National Anthem at the United Center will make a trip to Rockford to perform before the IceHogs Game 5 matchup at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Sunday.

Blackhawks anthem singer Jim Cornelison will perform his iconic rendition of the "The Star Spangled Banner" before the IceHogs host the Grand Rapids Griffins for Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The game on Sunday has a 4 p.m. scheduled puck drop. Fans are invited to the arena early, beginning at 1 p.m., for another Pregame Block Party presented by Swedish American Hospital which features live music, bounce houses and more.

Cornelision has opened Blackhawks home games at the United Center full-time since 2008. He has also performed the national anthem for the Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, and White Sox, along with appearances at the 2011 NFC Championship game, the 2014 NHL Stadium Series game and a 2014 Nascar Sprint Cup race.
