Monarchs Training Camp Hits the Ice on September 29

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, will open the 2012-13 Training Camp with the players hitting the ice for the first time on Saturday, September 29 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Sullivan Arena, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
The Monarchs Training Camp roster consists of 16 forwards: Andy Andreoff, Marc-Andre Cliche, Richard Clune, Robbie Czarnik, Justin Johnson, Brandon Kozun, Stefan Legein, Andrei Loktionov, David Meckler, Jordan Nolan, Brian O'Neill, Tanner Pearson, Nikolay Prokhorkin, Tyler Toffoli, Linden Vey and Jordan Weal. There are also seven defensemen on the roster: Andrew Bodnarchuk, Andrew Campbell, Nick Deslauriers, Thomas Hickey, David Kolomatis, Jake Muzzin and Slava Voynov. Netminders J.F. Berube and Martin Jones round out the Monarchs Training Camp roster.
The 2012-13 Monarchs Training Camp will continue with the team practicing at Sullivan Arena from Sunday, September 30 to Thursday, October 4 prior to their first exhibition game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5. The Monarchs return to practice at Sullivan Arena on Saturday, October 6 before traveling to the Portland Ice Arena to square off against the Portland Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7. The same two teams will meet the following day at the ICENTER in Salem, New Hampshire as the Monarchs host the Pirates in Manchester's final exhibition game at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8. The Monarchs close out Training Camp with on-ice practices at the Verizon Wireless Arena from Tuesday, October 9 to Thursday, October 11 as the team prepares to open the 2012-13 regular season against the Providence Bruins at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, October 12 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center .
All Training Camp practices at Sullivan Arena will be open to the public. Practice times and locations are subject to change.
