Heat 2012-13 Promotional Schedule Announced, Single Game Tickets On Sale Today

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat are pleased to announce the 2012-13 promotional schedule in conjunction with single game tickets going on-sale today. Call 1-877-452-HEAT (4328) to get your tickets now!

The Heat are set to open their fourth season in the American Hockey League on October 12th with the Peoria Rivermen (St. Louis Blues) visiting the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. October 12th is one of six Friday night Loonie, Toonie Dawg "˜N Brew games which feature $1 hotdogs and $2 beer.

Among the 38 regular season home games to be played, the Heat have announced 13 "˜Big Ticket' games which will offer fans the opportunity to be part of a special experience aside from the on-ice product.

Highlights of the 13 "˜Big Ticket' games include:

- Pucks "˜N Paws, our second annual game where fans can bring their dogs to the AESC

- Three post-game concerts (acts to be announced)

- Teddy Bear Toss in December benefitting the Abbotsford Food Bank

- Legends of Hockey Series - Three games saluting NHL greats

- Local Heroes Night saluting emergency services personnel

- Pink in the Rink, breast cancer fundraising and awareness

- Player Appreciation Night where regular season award winners are named

- Rock the Red night which features the AHL version of one of hockey's fiercest rivalries

- Fan Appreciation night with prizes and local choirs

Dec. 1, 2012 Hamilton Bulldogs Pucks N' Paws Bring your four legged friends to the game and help raise funds for the Abbotsford SPCA.

Dec. 14, 2012 Texas Stars Teddy Bear Toss Annual Teddy Bear Toss! Be sure to bring a stuffed toy to toss on the ice after the Heat's first goal.
