Monarchs Re-Sign Michael Doherty for 2018-19

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and General Manager Doug Christiansen announced today that the Monarchs have re-signed Michael Doherty for the 2018-19 season.
The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings.
Doherty, 24, returns to the Monarchs after playing 68 games in Manchester during his first professional season in 2017-18. Doherty recorded 44 points on 20 goals and 24 assists while racking up 42 penalty minutes.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound native of Reading, Mass., played four seasons at Yale University from 2013 to 2017. During his collegiate career he played in 115 games and recorded 67 points on 30 goals and 37 assists while racking up 65 penalty minutes.
Doherty and the Monarchs open the season on the road against the Brampton Beast on Oct. 13, before coming home on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. to play the Newfoundland Growlers. For tickets to Opening Night, Season Memberships and group tickets, please contact the Monarchs front office at 603-626-7825.
