July 17, 2018 - ECHL (ECHL) - Norfolk Admirals News Release
Norfolk, VA - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, signed two-time Kelly Cup Champion Chris Crane the team announced on Tuesday morning.
Crane, 26, joins the Admirals after spending the last two seasons with South Division foe Orlando. Last season with the Solar Bears the forward netted 25 points (12g, 13a) in 32 games. Despite appearing in less than half his teams' games, Crane ranked in the top ten in both goals and points.
Prior to joining the Solar Bears, Crane captured the Kelly Cup in back-to-back seasons with the Allen Americans (2014-15, 2015-16). During his career Crane has skated in 240 games with Orlando, Allen, Missouri (now Kansas City), San Francisco, and Ontario.
A seventh-round draft pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2010, Crane made his professional debut with the Worcester Sharks at the end of the 2012-13 season after concluding a three-year collegiate career at Ohio State. Crane also played under former Admiral head coach Jon Cooper for two seasons with the Green Bay Gamblers (USHL) winning the Clark Cup Championship in 2010.
Norfolk will open the 2018-19 season on October 13 at home against the Wheeling Nailers. Full and partial season tickets are now available by visiting NorfolkAdmirals.com or calling the Admirals office at (757) 640-1212.
