WHERE WE STAND

The Monarchs (54 pts.) complete their three-game set with the Elmira Jackals (23 pts.) atop the North Division by eight points over the Reading Royals and three points behind the Eastern Conference leading Florida Everblades.

LEADING THE WAY

Matt Leitner continues to dominate in the offensive zone, and after three assists last night, has 35 points in 28 games, or 1.25 points per game. Quentin Shore (15g) and Joey Diamond (15g) lead the Monarchs in goals entering tonight, while Leitner and Daniel Doremus lead the team in helpers, with 26 each.

LIGHTING IT UP

The Monarchs offense has been firing on all cylinders in the last five games. Since coming back from a Florida road trip Jan. 13, the Monarchs have averaged 5.6 goals per game elevating their season average to 3.97 goals per game.

STREAKING

Teddy Doherty has been getting involved in the Monarchs scoring spree, and is now riding a six-game assist streak dating back to Jan. 4. During his streak, Doherty has notched nine of his 15 helpers on the season, and his streak is the second-longest active streak in the ECHL, with the high-water mark in the league set at eight games.

IT'S JUST THAT SPECIAL

The Manchester power play has seen an uptick in their production in the last five games, as the unit has cashed in on 8-of-17 chances (47.1%), and have raised their season conversion rate to 23.7%, the best in the ECHL.

The penalty kill, although it has been struggling as of late, also leads the league, killing 87.4% of odd-man chances.

UNUSUAL SCORING

The Monarchs have found scoring from their goaltenders this season, and with Jonah Imoo's second assist of the year coming last night, the team now has three helpers from the goaltending position. If Imoo were to record one more assist this season, he would tie a Monarchs franchise record with Marcel Cousineau (01-02), Mathieu Garon (04-05), Jeff Zatkoff (10-11) and Martin Jones (12-13).
