WHERE WE STAND

The Monarchs (26 points) enter tonight's game with Kalamazoo in a second place tied in the North Division with the Reading Royals, two points behind the division leading Adirondack Thunder. With a Monarchs win tonight, the team would retake the top spot in the division as Adirondack sits idle, and would tie the Florida Everblades for the most wins in the Eastern Conference.

TAKE ADVANTAGE

Daniel Doremus of the Monarchs and Dajon Mingo of Kalamazoo have gotten in the action on the power play this season, as both skaters in tonight's game are ranked in the top-2 in power-play assists in the ECHL. Mingo enters the game leading the league with eight power-play helpers, with Doremus sitting in second with seven man-advantage apples on the season.

IN THE QUEUE

Monarchs rookie, Quentin Shore, has shot-up the leaderboard in rookie scoring, and now sits in 4th place with his 16 points, four behind Tyson Spink of Toledo. Among rookies, Shore's eight goals and three power-play goals are both tied for 2nd, and his six power-play points ranks 3rd for first-year skaters.

NO SHOT(S)

The Monarchs continue to smother teams when it comes to allowing shots on goal, lowering their season average last night by holding the wings to only 19 shot on frame. Manchester now sits 4th in the league, allowing only 27.95 shots per game.

KILLING IT

Manchester moved into 3rd in overall penalty killing last night after a 4-for-4 showing against the Wings, and is killing penalties at 89.7%, behind only Rapid City (90.7%) and Wichita (90.3%). So far this season, the Monarchs have only surrendered eight goals on 78 penalty killing chances, and have netted two short-handed goals as well.

CHAMP MILESTONE

Daniel Ciampini has been directly involved in 19 Monarchs goals this season (25.7%), but his two assists last night put his career total at 40 helpers in 82 professional games. Overall, the 2014-15 Hobey Baker Award Finalist has scored 64 points (24g, 40a) in his professional career between the AHL and ECHL.
