Kansas City Monarchs News Release

The Kansas City Monarchs will have a new look when they take the field to defend their American Association title. The club has announced new home uniforms for 2024.

The unis feature new black accents as well as a special new patch highlighting the 100th anniversary of the original Kansas City Monarchs' win in the first-ever Negro League World Series in 1924. The patch is part of a season-long celebration of the historic series, where the Monarchs defeated the Hilldale club five games to four.

The AAPB Monarchs' season starts May 10, on the road. The club's home opener is May 16 from Legends Field in Kansas City, Kansas.

Fans can purchase the jerseys at Legends Field starting on May 16.

The new home jerseys are part of a wide-ranging upgrade for Monarchs merchandise, including new items throughout the team store and new "Los Monarchs" uniforms to be announced at a later date.

Kansas City's roster features four former major leaguers: Ashton Goudeau (Rockies, Reds), Yefry Ramirez (Orioles, Pirates, Dodgers), Blake Rutherford (Nationals) and Travis Swaggerty (Pirates).
