Modesto Nuts Postpone Opening Day Celebration, Fanfest Set for Saturday

The Modesto Nuts cancelled their April 9 home opener against the Bakersfield Blaze due to inclement weather. Tonight the Nuts will play a double-header at John Thurman Field against the Blaze, slated to start at 5:35 p.m., with gates set to open at 5p.m.
The Nuts have re-scheduled their Opening Day Celebration festivities and fanfare to take place Saturday, April 11 for their regularly scheduled 7:05 p.m. game against the Bakersfield Blaze. More details are below.
Fanfest 2009 Set for Saturday, April 11!
The Modesto Nuts will have their annual Fanfest event on Saturday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at John Thurman Field. Modesto Nuts players and coaches will be on hand throughout the afternoon to sign autographs and take part in the Fanfest fun. Game Crazy will have electronic games set up, as will Best Buy, and wiffle ball will be set up on the baseball field and the Nuts staff will have several on-field promotions for fans to try out. Season ticket and mini-plan holders can redeem their jersey voucher, and admission to the event is free!
Opening Day Celebration Re-Scheduled for Saturday
The Modesto Nuts have re-scheduled their Opening Day Celebration festivities to take place during the Saturday, April 11 game. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m., and gates will open at 6 p.m. There will be live music on the concourse and a fireworks extravaganza immediately following the game. Fans don't want to miss this opportunity to celebrate the opening of the 2009 season with the Nuts!
