August 14, 2020 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Minnesota United FC News Release
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United announced today that the club will loan defender Brent Kallman to El Paso Locomotive FC of the USL Championship for the remainder of the 2020 season with the right to recall Kallman at any time throughout the duration of the loan.
Woodbury native Kallman has spent his entire professional career with Minnesota since first joining the club in 2013. With his signing in January 2017, he became the first Minnesotan to join the Loons in MLS. He made 23 appearances (23 starts) during the inaugural season, contributing two goals and captaining the side on a number of occasions. He was a mainstay in Minnesota's defense in 2016 and 2017, using his speed and strength to take down attackers. His height is a huge asset on both ends of the pitch, clearing lofted balls out of the MNUFC penalty area and nodding crosses into the opponent's net. Throughout four MLS seasons with MNUFC, Kallman has played 63 games, starting 59 with two goals and one assist.
