
Mitja Ilenič Selected for International Duty

New York City Football Club defender Mitja Ilenič has been selected to represent Slovenia at senior international level.
Ilenič, 19, joined NYCFC in January 2023 and has previously represented his country at U17, U18, U19, and U21 level.
He will now hope to make his senior national team debut for Slovenia later this month as they prepare to take on the United States Men's National Team.
The two sides will compete in a friendly game in San Antonio, Texas, on January 20.
The Club would like to congratulate Mitja on his selection and wish him good luck ahead of the game.
