CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Biscuits capitalized on several costly miscues by the Lookouts throughout the night. The result was a 5-1 victory for Montgomery in Thursday night action at AT&T Field.

Montgomery wasted little time entering the scoreboard. With two outs, Rhyne Hughes and Cesar Suarez hit back-to-back doubles to put the Biscuits up, 1-0. The top of the fourth proved to be a costly and sloppy one for the Lookouts. Rhyne Hughes reached first on a hit by pitch. After a Cesar Suarez line out, a Josh Lindblom (1-1) wild pitch enabled Hughes to advance to second. Another hit by pitch thrown by Lindblom put Rashad Eldridge on base. Chip Cannon followed with a sharply hit ball down the first-base line, but Gaby Martinez made a nice play to get to the ball and tossed it to a covering Lindblom, who applied the tag on Cannon just before he reached the base. With runners on second and third, Lindblom and catcher Lucas May encountered problems, as two wild pitcher glanced off of May's mitt and resulted in Hughes and Eldridge scoring. After a John Matulia walk, Lindblom was able to stop the nightmare inning by inducing a fly out to left.

The Lookouts entered the scoreboard in the fourth. Justin Sellers began the inning by blasting a deep double to left. After an Andrew Lambo ground out, which advanced Sellers to third, Gaby Martinez hit an RBI single to left to put the score at 3-1.

Miscues, once again, haunted the Lookouts in the seventh inning. After two quick outs, relief pitcher Jesus Rodriguez hit Desmond Jennings and walked Brandon Chaves. A subsequent fielding error by second baseman Victor Mercedes resulted in another run by the Biscuits off of a Lookouts' mistake. With the extra run, the Biscuits went ahead 4-1.

Montgomery added an insurance run in the ninth on a Brandon Chaves single, which was prefaced by a Drew Anderson double. Anderson's run would prove to be the final one scored during the game.

Heath Rollins (1-0) earned the win for Montgomery, throwing six innings of one-run ball. He yielded six hits and struck out two during the outing. Chattanooga will continue with their five-game homestand against the Montgomery Biscuits at 7:15 P.M., tomorrow. Tickets for this games or any other Lookouts home game can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
