MISSOULA, Mont. - After avoiding extra inning games for 52 contests, Missoula has now won back-to-back late affairs with a ten-inning triumph over Ogden by an 11-10 score. The seesaw game saw each team capture momentum but Missoula had the last cheer with a Dane McFarland bases-loaded single down the third base line to score Trevor Mitsui.

Missoula (8-8, 25-29) jumped out to an early lead with six runs in the first two innings, led by Stewart Ijames' seventh homer of the year. Raptors starter J.D. Underwood was chased out for six runs in 1.2 innings.

Ogden (8-7, 24-29) would claw away and tie the game in the sixth inning after a pair of two-run dingers. Julian Leon hit one in the fifth inning off Osprey starter Carlos Hernandez while Andrew Godbold launched his off Kevin Simmons. Hernandez would exit after five innings with four runs off seven hits, two walks, and five strikeouts.

Ogden reliever Bernanrdo Reyes set down ten batters at one point but ran into trouble in the home half of the sixth inning. After a pair of walks, Trevor Mitsui crushed his fifteenth double of the year to tie the game.

The Raptors would regain the lead as the Osprey bullpen struggled in the eighth inning. The visitors scored four runs off three hits on two different Osprey relievers before Jency Solis came in to leave the bases loaded.

The bullpen problem bit Ogden in the bottom half of the inning when Missoula scored twice off a wild pitch and walk. It was the second blown save of the year for closer A.J. Vanegas.

Tied at ten going into the tenth, Solis (3-0) continued his winning effort on the mound and would finish with 2.1 innings and one hit without a walk and four strikeouts.

Ogden hurler Lenix Osuna (0-2) gave up singles to Trevor Mitsui and Stewart Ijames to open up the tenth. Before he could face Taylor Ard, Osuna was ejected for an illegal substance on his equipment. Karch Kowalczyk was pressed into duty and with the bases loaded, gave up a bouncing ball down the third base line off the bat of Dane McFarland and the O's won 11-10.

Missoula finished with twelve hits and was led by Mitsui, who went 3-4 with four RBI. Ijames drove in three in a 3-4 effort with a couple of walks. Fernery Ozuna and Tyler Baker each had two RBI.

With a Billings loss to Grand Junction, Missoula now stands a game back of the Mustangs in the North Division.

Missoula continues its seven-game tomorrow against Ogden at 7:05 p.m. Tickets for all Osprey games are available at the MSO Hub Box Office, by phone at (406) 543-3300 and online at MissoulaOsprey.com.
