BILOXI, Miss. – Looking back at the Mississippi Sea Wolves 2003-04 season, several team and individual records were established and lots of players set career-highs.

Team records for 2003-04:

* Most wins in a season, 45

* Most points in a season, 97

* Longest regular season winning streak, with nine straight victories from March 11 to April 1.

* Fastest two goals, just nine seconds apart on March 16 against Pensacola. Andrew Proskurnicki and Anthony Battaglia netted the markers in the second period.

* Tied team record for most goals in a period with six. Accomplished the feat in the second period on November 9 against Fresno.

Individual milestones and accomplishments in 2003-04:

* Anthony Battaglia netted his first career hat trick on January 23 vs. Augusta, which was Mississippi's only three-goal performance by one player this season. The 6-foot and 195-pound Battaglia had career-highs with 23 goals, 14 assists and 37 points.

* Jim Baxter was named All-ECHL Second Team Defenseman and tied his career-high with 16 goals.

* Dwayne Blais scored a career-high 13 goals.

* Chris Cava tallied a career-high three goals.

* Kerry Ellis-Toddington netted career-highs with nine goals, 26 assists and 35 points.

* Louis Dumont became the ECHL all-time regular season career scoring leader by netting a goal, which was his 690th league point, surpassing Rod Taylor, on November 27 against Columbus. The 31-year-old became the ECHL all-time regular season career assist leader by registering two assists for a total of 461 helpers, moving past Chris Valicevic, on March 21 at Texas. A native of Westaskiwin, Alberta, Dumont also collected his 700th career ECHL point, an assist, on December 14 at Louisiana.

* Greg Gardner registered his 30th win of season on March 30 at Columbus, making 30 saves to become just the second goaltender in ECHL history to post consecutive 30-win seasons, joining Nick Vitucci (1994-96). The 6-foot and 190-pound Gardner set Mississippi regular season team records by posting a 2.43 goals against average and .923 save percentage, while tying a team record with three shutouts in one season, along with Chuck Thuss, who set the mark in 1998-99 and 2000-01. He was twice named ITECH HOCKEY ECHL Saver of the Week for December 15-21 and March 15-21. A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Gardner became Mississippi's all-time career goaltending wins leader by earning his 59th victory, surpassing Chuck Thuss, on March 21 at Texas.

* Brent Gauvreau posted a team record and career-high 14-game point streak, tallying nine goals and 12 assists over that stretch from January 6 to March 30. The 6-foot-3 and 215-pound Gauvreau registered a career-high 47 assists, racking up 45 with Mississippi, while accumulating two helpers with Bridgeport of the American Hockey League.

* Jeff Hutchins netted career-highs with 27 goals and 50 points. The 6-foot and 205-pound Hutchins posted 26 goals and 45 points with Mississippi, while racking up one goal and five points with Rochester of the American Hockey League.

* Sergei Kuznetsov notched career-highs with 20 goals, 50 assists and 70 points.

* Travis Lisabeth posted a career-high 13-game point streak (9g-10a) from December 30 to January 31 and tied his career-high by scoring 19 goals.

* Sean Matile was named runner up for Sun National Bank ECHL Saver of the Month for December.

* Roger Maxwell tied career-highs by notching six goals and 13 points. The 6-foot-3 and 240-pound Maxwell ranked first in ECHL penalty minutes with 370.

* Austin Miller collected a career-high eight assists.

* Steve O'Rourke set a team record for defensemen with a +27 and had career-highs with 22 assists and 27 points.

* Andrew Proskurnicki picked up career-highs with seven goals, 17 assists and 24 points. A native of Burlington, Ontario, Proskurnicki tallied four goals, eight assists for 12 points with Mississippi. The other totals for the 6-foot-3 and 210-pound Proskurnicki were between Idaho and Cincinnati of the ECHL earlier in the season.

* Patrick Rochon became the first Mississippi player to play in all eight Sea Wolves seasons. The 5-foot-10 and 190-pound Rochon appeared in his 500th regular season game in team history on April 3.

* Steffon Walby was named to All-ECHL First Team for a third consecutive year and finished second in ECHL scoring with 88 points, by tallying 33 goals and a career-high 55 assists. The 6-foot and 200-pound Walby became Mississippi's all-time regular season career leader in goals (117), power-play goals (43) and points (270). A native of Lodi, Wisconsin, Walby was selected as a starter and captain for the Western Conference at the 2004 Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star Game and scored a goal in the contest on January 21 at Peoria and won the Accuracy Shooting event at the ECHL All-Star Skills Competition, hitting four targets in eight shots. Walby was named InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week from November 10-16 and earned the Sher-Wood ECHL Player of the Month for December. He tied a Mississippi team record, along with Patrick Rochon, by registering assists in nine consecutive games (16a) from November 7 to December 12.
