June 19, 2023 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Brampton Steelheads News Release
MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads have completed a trade with the London Knights to acquire overage centreman Ryan Del Monte in exchange for a 15th round pick in 2027.
Initially drafted by the Barrie Colts in the second (#24 overall) of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, Del Monte spent two seasons with the club before being sent to the London Knights for the 2022-23 season. Though out for much of the season due to injuries, the 5'11" forward tallied 10 points (4G, 6A) in 15 games.
While the centreman has played most of his career in Canada, Del Monte was born in Germany and holds dual citizenship. He has represented Germany twice at the World Junior Championships in 2022 and 2023.
On behalf of the Steelheads organization, we'd like to welcome Ryan and the Del Monte family to Mississauga!
