Missions to Play Midland in Texas League Division Series Beginning Wednesday, September 9

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Missions will begin the pursuit of their fourth Texas League Championship in the last eight years as they host the Midland RockHounds in the Texas League South Division Series. Games One and Two will take place this Wednesday, September 9th and Thursday, September 10th at Nelson Wolff Municipal Stadium. Both games start at 7:05 pm.
The Missions have advanced to the postseason for the third consecutive year, thanks to their first-half division crown. San Antonio owns a record 11 Texas League Championships, with their last title coming in 2007. Midland, winner of the second half, returns to the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
Game One of the best-of-five series will feature 10-game winner, right-hander Ernesto Frieri (10-9, 3.59) for the Missions against righty Graham Godfrey (11-8, 3.50) for the RockHounds.
Game Two will pit right-hander Will Inman (6-5, 3.40) for San Antonio against righty Travis Banwart (10-5, 4.89) for Midland. Game Two will also be a Dollar Night, featuring dollar soda, pizza, hot dogs and beer.
