
Missions Defeat Midland 7-4, Sweep Series

San Antonio Missions News Release
San Antonio - The San Antonio Missions defeated the Midland RockHounds 7-4 Sunday afternoon at Wolff Stadium for their season-high fourth consecutive win.
It was San Antonio's first four-game sweep of Midland at home since April 29-May 2, 2011.
The Missions were down 4-0 in the second but scored seven unanswered runs over the next five innings.
Cody Decker continued his torrid stretch as his solo home run in the bottom of the third brought the Missions to within a run at 4-3. It was Decker's 13th long ball of the season and his seventh in his last 14 games. At the time and he surpassed teammate Nate Freiman for the Double-A lead in homers, only to have Freiman tie him up an inning later with a three-run shot that gave San Antonio the lead for good.
The Missions home stand continues tomorrow as they welcome the Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros) for four games that go through Thursday, May 17.
Tomorrow night is a WellMed Senior Sluggers game. All seniors 65 and over, or those eligible for Medicare, will receive a complimentary reserved seat ticket and drink (bottled water or soda).
