
Minnesota PGA Section and WNBA partner in Game Day Experience

The PGA of America, Minnesota PGA Section and WNBA have partnered to host a Game Day Experience at the Minnesota Lynx/Connecticut Sun game Aug. 7 (Friday). PGA and LPGA Professionals from the Minnesota PGA Section will give free golf lessons to fans attending the game. A pair of tickets for the 91st PGA Championship practice round will be given to the first 75 fans who take a golf lesson, and a grand prize of tournament day tickets will also be given away throughout the evening. "Game Day Experiences" are special events at selected WNBA games where PGA and LPGA Professionals use inflatable nets to provide free lessons for spectators, plus organize on-court contests at half-time, as part of WNBA games, to help promote the game of golf.
WHAT:
- PGA/LPGA Professionals from the Minnesota PGA Section will give free golf lessons to fans of all ages and skill levels on the Concourse Level of the Target Center prior to and through halftime of the Minnesota Lynx/Connecticut Sun game.
- A pair of tickets for a 91st PGA Championship practice round (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday-Aug. 10-12) will be given to the first 75 fans who take a golf lesson.
- Four lucky fans will win a Grand Prize pair of tickets for each tournament day, including Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 13-16).
- Play Golf America T-Shirts will be given away throughout the game.

NOTE:
Through its nationwide network of 41 Sections, The PGA of America has teamed with the 13 WNBA Teams to host a multi-faceted golf experience. The primary focus is "Game Day Experiences" where PGA and LPGA Professionals will use inflatable nets to provide free lessons for spectators, Play Golf America PSA's are shown on arena score boards, plus organize on-court contests at half-time, as part of WNBA games. The Game Day Experiences were launched in 2008 were held at 11 WNBA games. On Sept. 3 (Thursday), PGA of America CEO Joe Steranka and WNBA President Donna Orender will address the media in Washington D.C., prior to the Washington Mystics/Seattle Storm game to discuss the partnership and share success stories.
