Minnesota Lynx News Release
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - Minnesota Lynx today unveiled the fourth set of five players who will be recognized as part of the All-25 Team in Lynx history throughout the 25th anniversary season. Each week, a new set of players will be announced followed by a social media campaign highlighting their contributions to the Lynx franchise. Qualifications for this honor are strictly statistical and award-based, the list will be comprised of players who have scored 1,000+ points, grabbed 500+ rebounds, started 50+ games, were members of 2+ WNBA Championship teams, represented the Lynx in the WNBA All-Star Game and/or were end-of-season WNBA award winners. This week's five of the All-25 Team include:
Svetlana Abrosimova - Forward
Abrosimova was selected by the Lynx with the seventh overall pick in the 2001 WNBA Draft after a standout college career with the University of Connecticut. The Russian native helped the Lynx reach their first-ever playoffs in 2003, and played with the team for seven years. Abrosimova had a stellar rookie year with Minnesota, averaging 13.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, and finished fourth in Rookie of the Year voting. She became a foundational piece of the franchise in the early-to-mid-2000s, averaging double figures in scoring as a starter her first three years in the league, and 9.8 points per game in her fifth. The 6-2 forward was also a strong defender- averaging 1.4 steals per game over her Lynx career.

Selected sixth overall in the 2019 WNBA Draft by Minnesota, Collier enters her fifth season with the Lynx. Named the 2019 Rookie of the Year, Collier contributed 13.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 0.94 blocks per game, while leading the league in minutes played (33.3) in her debut season. She wrapped up her rookie campaign as the fifth rookie in Lynx history to start every game (Nicky Anosike, Seimone Augustus, Maya Moore, Nicole Ohlde) and logged 1,131 total minutes, eclipsing Seimone Augustus' franchise rookie record of 1,127. Collier has since been selected to the 2020 All-WNBA Second Team, 2020 All-Defensive Second Team, and is a two-time All-Star (2019, 2021). Over her Lynx career (89 games), Collier has averaged 14.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
Nicole Ohlde - Forward/Center
Drafted by Minnesota with the sixth overall pick in the 2004 WNBA Draft, Ohlde played five seasons for the Lynx from 2004 to 2008. She also shot 44.2 percent from the field. In five seasons with the Lynx, playing 170 games, she averaged 10 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
Katie Smith - Guard
Drafted by Minnesota in the 1999 WNBA Allocation Draft, Smith spent six seasons with the Lynx (1999-2005). The 5-11 shooting guard averaged a career-high 23.1 points per game in 2001. That same season, Smith scored a career-high 46 points against Los Angeles on July 8, 2001. During her time with Minnesota, Smith earned four straight All-WNBA Team selections with First Team honors in 2001 and 2003, and Second Team honors in 2000 and 2002. In 2005, she became the first American female basketball player to score 5,000 in a professional career. She ranks third in Lynx history with 3,605 points and fourth with 496 assists. In total with Minnesota, Smith is a five-time All-Star (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005). Smith averaged 17.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in 205 games with the Lynx. Candice Wiggins - Guard
Drafted with the third overall pick by Minnesota in the 2008 WNBA Draft, Wiggins played five seasons with the Lynx from 2008 to 2012. Her rookie season proved to be a standout year - voted to the 2008 All-Rookie Team, and selected the 2008 Sixth Woman of the Year, after helping propel the Lynx to 16 wins, the second-best total in team history at the time. Over her Lynx career (140 games), Wiggins averaged 10.4 points per game, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists. Wiggins was a part of the first Lynx WNBA championship in 2011.
