Minnesota Lynx Release 4-, 6- and 10-Game Ticket Packages for 2009 Season

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced three partial ticket plan options for the upcoming 2009 WNBA season. Right now, fans can purchase both six- and 10-game ticket packages by calling 612-673-8400 or by logging on to www.lynxbasketball.com. Four-game ticket packages will go on sale this morning at 9:00 a.m.

With the 10-pack offer, fans will have the option of choosing from any 10 of the 17 home games the Lynx will play at Target Center this summer. This includes the home opener on Saturday, June 6 vs. Chicago, and marquee games such as Tuesday, July 28 vs. Los Angeles (WNBA legend Lisa Leslie's final regular season appearance at

Target Center) and Friday, August 7 vs. Lindsay Whalen and the Connecticut Sun.

"We are extremely pleased to offer these three partial plan packages that give Lynx fans the flexibility to pick a plan that best fits their individual schedules and budgets," said Lynx Chief Operating Officer Conrad Smith.

Fans who select a six-game package will have the option of choosing from three different packages, including the "Weekend Party Pack," the "Summer Fun Pack," and the "Superstar Pack". The Weekend Party Pack features weekend matchups versus Phoenix, Chicago and Seattle. The Summer Fun Pack features games against the WNBA Finals participants from 2008, the Detroit Shock and San Antonio Silver Stars, while the Superstar Pack offers fans the best chance to see homegrown talent in Lindsay Whalen (Friday, August 7) and Janelle McCarville (Tuesday, June 23). Each package includes tickets to the home opener on Saturday, June 6 vs. Chicago and Fan Appreciation Night on Wednesday, Sept. 9 vs. Detroit.

The "Final Four Pack" is a special March Madness offer giving fans the chance to see the Lynx match up against the final four teams from the 2008 WNBA Playoffs. Matchups include Wednesday, June 10 vs. Los Angeles, Tuesday, June 23 vs. New York, Friday, August 7 vs. Connecticut and Sunday, August 9 vs. San Antonio.

By purchasing a Lynx partial plan package, fans will save up to 17-percent on single-game tickets prices. These packages also offer preferred seating, exclusive season ticket holder benefits and unique meet-and-greet opportunities with the players.

The Minnesota Lynx open their 11th year of basketball in the Twin Cities on June 6, 2009 vs. the Chicago Sky at Target Center. Season and group tickets for the 2009 season are now on sale.
