Milwaukee, WI-The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that the team's official website, www.milwaukeeadmirals.com, will be relaunched for the 2009-10 season. Under the direction of head designer Bernard Gomez and head engineer Tom Duffey, the Admirals collaborated with website design and management company Tech by Design of Milwaukee on the new site, which will be unveiled in two phases. The first phase is set to be released when the American Hockey League announces the schedule for next season and the second phase will be revealed by October 1st.

"The new milwaukeeadmirals.com will give our fans an advanced multimedia experience in an entertaining and intuitive way that will allow them to continue to sow their passion for Admirals hockey," said Admirals President Jon Greenberg. "Tech by Design is on the cutting edge when it comes to technology on the web and they have helped to integrate many new features onto our new site that will enhance user experience."

Phase one of the relaunch will include a complete overhaul of the look of the website. When landing on the homepage, users will be greeted with a featured news area that is highlighted by a 1200 by 500 pixel picture associated with five separate stories and up to four accompanying links to direct fans to that story and other related items of interest. The site will also include a revamp of the popular In the Crease blog area and a new schedule page that will give fans access to promotions and ticket special with a simple roll over of the mouse on a given date.

Milwaukeeadmirals.com will feature a new navigation bar that includes drop down menus for easier navigation as well as content groups with switchable tabs that will show the content of a select tab, while hiding other information behind it. An interactive fan poll will also be a new feature of the site and the first poll will allow fans to select one of the Admirals' bobblehead giveaways for the 2009-10 season. Each page of the new site will also be available in an RSS Feed as well as a printable version.

Phase two of the relaunch will introduce a complete makeover of Admirals TV that will allow fans to search for highlight videos by either player or game and it will allow fans to watch videos in-line in the featured news area on the homepage. In addition, a new photo gallery will be featured to give fans more access to the team's tremendous photography. Comment areas for each news article and more games will also be added in phase two of the relaunch.
