Milwaukee Wave Mark a Sports Milestone with a Calendar of Great Events

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - The Milwaukee Wave kick off their 2023-24 home schedule on December 9th, taking on the Monterrey Flash. It's the Wave's 40th year in Milwaukee, and it gets underway in style with Santa and his elves in attendance.

"It's been amazing to hear Wave fans share memories of going to games with their parents; and now they're parents bringing their kids -- it's a testament to our team's legacy, championship mentality, and the passion to involve community," said Milwaukee Wave owner Mike Zimmerman. "It's going to be a special season and we're making a big deal out of it!"

The Wave Home Opener will serve double-duty, helping Milwaukee get into the holiday spirit with a theme inspired by Enchant Christmas , which the community can check out from November 24 - December 31 at Franklin Field . Wave home opener attendees on December 9th can look forward to a festive halftime show and photo ops with Santa during our Home for the Holidays game!

The Wave's 2023-2024 schedule is posted at milwaukeewave.com/schedule. The Wave have a 24-match MASL schedule ahead of them in 2023/24 with the first game on the road against the St. Louis Ambush on Friday, November 24. Most home games occur Friday through Sunday, making Wave games a great destination for fun with family and friends.

"If you look at the rich history of our team through the decades the goal has always been, win a championship," said Wave Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "I just have so much respect for all the players that have put on the Wave jersey over the years and it's going to be great to see them all throughout the season. We are looking forward to it."

Assistant coach Tenzin Rampa added: "Growing up in Wisconsin and with the Wave has been amazing. From watching them play as a child to going up against them in summer exhibitions when I was playing at UWM and then playing for -- and now coaching -- them; it's like a dream! I'm just happy to still be a part of it but the goal for this season and every season has been and will always be; win a championship."
