January 28, 2005 - Major Indoor Soccer League 2 (MISL 2)
Milwaukee Wave News Release
MILWAUKEE (Friday, January 28, 2005) â Milwaukee Wave Vice President of Soccer Operations and Head Coach Keith Tozer announced today that defender Troy Dusosky has been placed on the injured reserve list for the remainder of the regular season. Dusosky, number 19 for the Wave, will undergo anterior cruciate ligament repair on Monday, January 31. Dr. Robert Buss will be performing the procedure at Froedtert Hospital.
"It's been hard sitting on the sidelines, but my teammates and coaches have given me so much support in this process," said Troy Dusosky. "It's disappointing that my season is over, but now I'm ready to have the surgery and start rehab in order to come back stronger than ever."
Dusosky obtained the partially torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the January 9 away game versus the Baltimore Blast and was placed on the 15-day injured reserve list as of January 12. The 28-year-old Brookfield resident has since been attending practices, serving as a motivator for the rest of his team.
"It's been very important having Troy at the practices," said coach Tozer. "His personality and enthusiasm for the game have been inspirational for the rest of the team and we're still counting on him, even though he cannot participate on the field for the time being."
The Wave return to action on February 4 versus the St. Louis Steamers at 7 p.m. February 4 is also the second "Kicks for Tix" contest. Groups of 25 people or more who have attended a Milwaukee Wave home game between December 31 and the February 4 game are invited to choose a representative from their group to compete in the halftime contest to win roundtrip transportation for two (2) courtesy of Midwest Airlines.
