SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Rehabbing Dodgers starter Eric Milton combined with Steven Johnson to earn a Father's Day shutout victory over the High Desert Mavericks and pick up the series victory, 6-0, on Sunday.

The 66ers won six of the final eight meetings with the Mavericks to close out the first half.

Eric Milton (1-0, 0.00) got the win in his first rehab start with Inland Empire. Milton pitched 5 1/3 shutout innings in which he allowed 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3 before being removed due to a designated pitch count limit.

Four of the 66ers runs came on a pair of blasts by Jamie Ortiz and Scott Van Slyke. Ortiz hit his into the netting in right field in the second to get the Sixers on the board 2-0. Van Slyke walloped his team-leading 11th home run onto Home Run Hill in left in the fourth inning, giving Inland Empire a 4-0 lead. Steven Caseres drew three walks on the afternoon and scored on each of the home runs.

After coming on for Milton, Steven Johnson, who was the scheduled starter, finished the final 3 2/3 innings to complete the shutout and earn his first save. Johnson allowed only 3 hits and 2 walks while fanning 6.

Jamie McOwen extended his Mavericks team-record hit-streak to 32 games, going 2-for-4 with two singles. The California League record is 35 games, accomplished twice and most recently by Chris Davis of Bakersfield in 2007.
