ATLANTA - Major League Soccer today announced finalists for the 2021 MLS Year-End Awards and Atlanta United defender Miles Robinson is one of three finalists for Defender of the Year.
Robinson has started 25 of his 26 MLS appearances in 2021 and was named to his first MLS All-Star team. The 24-year-old ranks second in MLS in duel success rate (min. 100 duels) at 66.83 %, trailing only teammate Ezequiel Barco. He scored his first career MLS goal on Decision Day in a 2-1 win against FC Cincinnati.

He started all six matches and scored two goals at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup where he helped the U.S. secure five clean sheets and scored the game-winning goal in the final to defeat Mexico 1-0.
Seattle's Yeimar Gómez and Nashville's Walker Zimmerman are also finalists for Defender of the Year. The finalists earned the most votes in polling among three voting groups: current MLS players, MLS club technical staffs and a select group of media members.
