
Mile of Music Blood Drive in the Fox Club on July 23

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Mile of Music is starting soon and they have a great way for you to save lives and get some great perks. The Mile of Music Blood Drive presented by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and The Community Blood Center will be held in the Fox Communities Credit Union Fox Club at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium on Saturday, July 23 from 7:00 am to noon.
"The Timber Rattlers are excited to partner with The Community Blood Center and Mile of Music to help encourage blood donations during the summer months," said Corporate Marketing Manager Jerrad Radocay. "This blood drive offers a ton of great incentives to both baseball fans and to fans of Cory Chisel and the ever-popular Mile of Music."
All presenting donors will receive the following:
- A ticket to an exclusive pre-Mile of Music concert
- A Cory Chisel bobblehead with a special red guitar
- Access to a mini-Mile of Music Stadium Showcase Concert held at 11 a.m. during the blood drive
- A pair of Timber Rattlers ticket vouchers good for any remaining regular season game in 2016
- The opportunity to win a suite for up to 14 people for a game in 2017
- Complimentary ballpark food and special V.I.P. stadium tours
Donors must meet specific eligibility criteria outlined by the FDA, accrediting organizations (such as AABB) and individual donation centers. To donate in Wisconsin, individuals must be at least 16 years old, in general good health and must meet weight and hemoglobin level requirements on donation day. Donors are encouraged to eat a regular meal and drink plenty of water prior to donation, and present a photo ID upon donation.
"Summer is a challenging time of year for blood collection," The Community Blood Center President/CEO John Hagins shared. "The Fox Cities offers many great outdoor events-including baseball games and live music-all competing for a spot on our donors' calendars. That's why we are excited to partner with the Timber Rattlers and Mile of Music to make blood donation a part of all the fun!"
The Community Blood Center (CBC) was established in 1955 and continues today as an independent nonprofit providing a safe and reliable blood supply to hospitals in Northeast Wisconsin, the Northwoods and upper Michigan. CBC has donor centers in Appleton, Oshkosh, Little Chute and Woodruff, plus hosts over 100 blood drives every month. Individual tickets for the Timber Rattlers remaining games of the 2016 season are on sale now. Tickets are available online, over the phone at (920) 733-4152 or (800) WI-TIMBER and in person. Groups of 20 or more may order tickets at a special price over the phone or in person. The Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium Box Office is open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday.
