Mike Murphy Named ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week

Belleville Bulls netminder Mike Murphy has been named the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending November 2. Murphy led the Bulls to a perfect 3-0-0-0 record during the week while posting a 1.33 goals against average and .962 save percentage.

Murphy began the week with a 35 save performance, as he was named third star of the game in a 5-1 victory over the Peterborough Petes. He then stopped 29 shots in Saturday's 4-1 win versus Owen Sound before finishing the week by making 37 saves in a 3-2 victory in Mississauga. Murphy is the first Bull to be named the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week since Kevin Lalande did so in February 2007.

The Inverary, Ontario native and reigning OHL Goaltender of the Year currently leads the league with a goals against average of 2.12 and save percentage of .938 while posting a 9-3-1-1 record. Murphy will also participate in the ADT Canada Russia Challenge later this month.
