Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release

Tonight at 8:05 ET, the TinCaps take on the Bowling Green Hot Rods in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in game one of a best-of-three playoff series. The scheduled starters are Joe Ross for Fort Wayne and Jeff Ames for Bowling Green.

Fort Wayne is in the postseason for a Midwest League-best fifth consecutive season. Last year the TinCaps were the Eastern Division Champions, falling to Wisconsin in the championship series. This year's TinCaps team had both the Midwest League's ERA leader (Zach Eflin, 2.73), stolen base leader (Mallex Smith, 64) and saves leader (Roman Madrid, 22).

The TinCaps went 5-10 against Bowling Green during the regular season, with four of those five wins coming on the road at Bowling Green Ballpark.

Tonight's broadcast can be heard on The Fan 1380 and TheFanFortWayne.com.
