
Keith Winter Named Sports Turf Manager of the Year

Beloit, WI (9/4/13) --- The Midwest League is pleased to announce that Keith Winter, Head Groundskeeper, for the Fort Wayne TinCaps, along with Assistant Groundskeeper, Andrew Burnette, have been selected as the recipient of the 2013 Midwest League Sports Turf Manager/Grounds Crew of the Year Award. This is the fourth consecutive year that Parkview Field, Fort Wayne, Indiana has been recognized for providing a first-rate playing surface!
The Midwest League Field Managers and Umpires selected the award winner based on quality of playing surface, infield/outfield turf, preparation of field, quality of pitching mounds, home plate, bullpens, warning track and crew professionalism. This award is presented by Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball.
