Washington Wild Things News Release
Washington, PA -- The Washington Wild Things (21-20), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, lost to the Midwest Sliders 9-1 at CONSOL Energy Park Wednesday night.
Chris Sidick and Nathan Messner each had two hits, and Kris Rochelle had an RBI, driving in Tim Alberts for the only Wild Things' run of the game.
John Leonard (0-1) took the loss for Washington going 1.2 innings, allowing seven runs on six hits. Matt Restivo and Kyle Dempsey pitched the remaining innings, allowing two runs on seven hits.
The Wild Things and Sliders meet for the rubber match at CONSOL Energy Park Thursday when first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Air time on WJPA 95.3 F.M. is 6:55 p.m. Brooks Dunn is scheduled to take the mound for Washington. Tickets are available at the CONSOL Energy Park box office.
