
Midfielder Luca Ricci Joins the Montreal Impact on a Short-Term Contract

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact called up midfielder Luca Ricci from its affiliated USL club, the Ottawa Fury FC. The Impact will have Ricci on a short-term loan by using the Extreme Hardship rule.
Developed at the Montreal Impact Academy, Ricci played the 2018 season with the Phoenix Rising FC in USL before signing with the Ottawa Fury FC in 2019.
An MLS club can use this rule and sign a player on a short-term contract from a USL affiliated club if they have less then 14 outfield players available for a game or if they have less then two goalkeepers available.
The Montreal Impact will host the Seattle Sounders FC at Stade Saputo on Wednesday, June 5, at 7:30pm (TICKETS - TVA Sports, TSN, 98.5, TSN 690).
Transaction: The Montreal Impact signed midfielder Luca Ricci to a short-term contract using the Extreme Hardship rule on Tuesday.
