Looking to turn things around after an away loss at Louisville

Miami FC aims to turn the tables after suffering a 2-0 loss against Louisville City FC on the road last Saturday. Miami struggled to get a hold of possession throughout the 90 minutes, allowing LouCity to dictate the pace and tempo for most of the game. MFC manager Anthony Pulis is looking to improve ahead of their home match against Loudoun.

"I think for us now is making sure we respond properly," said Pulis after the game. "This is the first little bit of adversity that we'll face as a group, so it's important now that we react in a positive manner. We'll look at what we need to do better, make sure we have a good week of training, and prepare properly for a difficult game against Loudoun."

Midfielder Devon "Speedy" Williams and forward Lamar Walker earned call-ups to the Jamaican National Team ahead of the country's final three FIFA 2022 World Cup Qualifying matches against El Salvador, Canada and Honduras.

Williams, who started and played full 90 minutes games in Miami's opening two games of the 2022 season, aims to continue his flawless run when it comes to appearances with Jamaica in World Cup Qualifying. The three-time USL Championship title winner appeared in every match of the Octagonal so far, starting eight of the 11.

On the other hand, Walker is still finding his way in the Miami FC and Jamaican squads. The 21-year-old played his first 11 minutes of the season as a substitute in Miami's home-opening 2-0 win against NYRB2. As for his form with Jamaica, Walker started against the USA in November 2021 and played four other World Cup Qualifying games as a substitute.

The two players will be absent for the upcoming fixture against Loudoun as they continue to represent their nation.

Forward Kyle Murphy looks to make his 150th USL Championship appearance against Loudoun United on Saturday. The 29-year-old started and played the entirety of Miami's first two games of the season. He arrived at Miami after a 20-goal season with Memphis 901 FC in 2021. A goal against his former team - Loudoun United - would start his goalscoring record with Miami and make his USL Championship milestone even more special.

About Loudoun United

Loudoun United arrives at Miami after back-to-back wins in its opening two games of the season. The first was a 1-0 home victory against Indy Eleven, and the second a 3-0 away triumph against New York Red Bulls II.

Nineteen-year-old Tyler Freeman nailed a brace in his substitute appearance against NYRB2 last weekend, making him one of the joint four top goalscorers so far in the season. Freedman made the latest USL Championship Team of the Week's bench alongside fullback Sami Guediri. Fullback Jacob Greene, who scored the other goal against NYRB2, was one of the 11 Championship players who earned Team of the Week honors.

Up next for Miami FC

Miami FC hosts Colorado Springs Switchbacks on April 2 at FIU Stadium. The game will be the first between the two sides, as they have never played against before. Fans can buy tickets for the game.
