CURVE, Pa. - New York Mets' Manager Terry Collins and new Altoona Curve Manager P.J. Forbes have been added to the guest list for this year's "Spring Training Festival: A Salute to Champions" on Friday, January 28 at the Blair County Convention Center. Collins and Forbes join 2010 Eastern League championship team members Matt Hague, Josh Harrison, Alex Presley, and Justin Wilson and former Pittsburgh Steelers' players and current broadcasters Tunch Ilkin and Craig Wolfley as guests at this year's event which will celebrate the 2010 Eastern League Champion Altoona Curve.

Collins, who was named the Mets' skipper on November 23, 2010, was the manager of the Houston Astros from 1994-96 and never had a losing season in his three seasons with the ballclub. He posted back-to-back 80-win seasons in 1997 and 1998 as the manager of the Anaheim Angels and owns an overall managerial record of 444-434 in six seasons as a manager.

The Eastern Michigan University product led the 1987 Albuquerque Dukes to a Pacific Coast League Championship and served as the bullpen coach under Jim Leyland in Pittsburgh from 1992-93. He also managed the China National baseball team in the 2009 World Baseball Classic.

"Bob and David Lozinak bumped into Terry during the Winter Meetings in Orlando last month and invited him to join us," said Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "We're thrilled Terry's schedule worked out so he could make it happen. So many special and pleasantly surprising things have happened to the franchise in the last year. Add this to the list."

Forbes, who also brings championship experience after guiding the 2009 Lynchburg Hillcats to a Carolina League title, was named the sixth manager in Curve history on December 22, 2010. Last season, the Pittsburg, Kan. native piloted the Bradenton Marauders to a second-half division title and the second best overall record in the Florida State League despite injuries to several key players.

Tickets for the Spring Training Festival, which includes a full-course dinner, are $60 for adults and $35 for children. The event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Blair County Convention Center, will feature an autograph signing and a Q&A session with all of the guests in attendance. Silent and live auctions for memorabilia and exclusive sports/entertainment packages will take place throughout the evening as well.

Proceeds from the Spring Training Festival will benefit the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum. (For more information on the Museum, visit www.railroadcity.com)
