Less than a month before their regular season home opener in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), the Mississauga MetroStars announced additional ticket options for their 12 home games during the 2018/19 season at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. Following the release of a limited number of Founder's Club season tickets, the expansion club has introduced single and multi-game group, supporters and VIP ticket options.

Single game ticket buyers, accessing tickets through Ticketmaster or the Paramount Fine Foods Centre box office, can now take advantage of a 33% discount, when they use the promo code: MetroStars.

Groups of 10 or more will be able to take advantage of significant single game savings across all seat categories, ranging from $16 each per game for Reds to $26 each for Platinums. Official "Supporters Groups" can also receive discounts on single game and season tickets in a designated end zone in the Red section.

The MetroStars have also announced a series of group flex packs designed to provide even further discounts for multi-game purchases. The "Back to Back" pack combines the inaugural home game against the Florida Tropics on Saturday, December 8 with the second home game against the Kansas City Comets on Thursday, December 13, with prices starting at $31 for a Red seat for groups of 10-24.

There is also a holiday package of four games scheduled between December 30, 2018 and January 11, 2019 with the added benefit of a bonus gift. And, in addition, there is a half season package of six games available which also includes a bonus gift. Additional three-game packages in February and March, 2019, will be confirmed at a later date.

Exclusive VIP Gladiator Club Lounge

The MetroStars have also introduced a new category, called the Gladiator Club Lounge, which includes pre-game hors d'oeuvres and in game food stations, plus preferred parking, an exclusive VIP entrance and post-game entertainment, all included in the $60 single game price.

"The VIP Gladiator Club Lounge has terrific value," said MetroStars' President Serge Giancola. "We will also be offering a full season membership for $600, which includes merchandise and playoff games."

Fans can purchase season passes as well as single game tickets online at ticketmaster.ca or by visiting the club's website mississaugametrostars.ca. A limited number of private suites are also available for single game and full season use.

Supporters groups and groups of 10 or more may contact the MetroStars directly at sales@mississaugametrostars.ca or by calling 1-866-56-STARS (1-866-567-8277).

Training Camp Resumes with 22 Players

The second week of MetroStars' pre-season training camp began today at the Canlan Sportsplex in Mississauga as players resumed drills, skills and controlled scrimmages. MetroStars Head Coach and GM Phil Ionadi pared the team roster down from 30 to 22 players over the weekend.

"We were very impressed with the boys who came to camp last week", said Ionadi. "They came prepared and the intensity was high every session. Now we prepare for the next step. We'll start putting lines together and focus on the small details - set plays, free kicks, which are a big part of the game."

The latest addition to the camp is Mississauga's own Kyle Porter. The 28-year-old Porter, who spent parts of two seasons with DC United in MLS, has played for both the Ottawa Fury and the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL this season. Porter, a forward, began his pro career with the Vancouver Whitecaps and also had a brief loan spell in Germany with Energie Cottbus.

Ionadi has also announced he has designated veteran Dwayne De Rosario as a player/assistant coach. The pre-season camp continues throughout the week with sessions starting each day at 10:00am (ET).

Media members planning to attend any of the remaining training sessions are advised to contact the MetroStars' Director of Communications Alf De Blasis at alfdeblasis@gmail.com prior to arriving in order to secure credentials on site.

This season, the MetroStars will play in the MASL's Eastern Division, with Utica City FC, Harrisburg Heat and the defending champion Baltimore Blast. The MetroStars' home opener against the Florida Tropics, at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, is set for Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 3:05pm (ET).
