
MetroStars Preseason Starts February 3

SECAUCUS, NJ (January 13, 2003) - Preparation for the 2003 Major League Soccer season begins on February 3, when players and staff report for the first day of preseason training at the Bubble in Giants Stadium beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET.
The majority of preseason will consist of training in Bradenton and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, along with two weeks in March training in Argentina.
New head coach Bob Bradley, who led the Chicago Fire to the 1998 MLS Cup championship, leads the MetroStars in their eight season of Major League Soccer. The New Jersey native guided Chicago to the postseason every year and to at least the MLS Cup semifinals in four of five seasons.

Friday, January 17: MLS SuperDraft in Kansas City, Missouri, 3:30 p.m. ET (FOUR TOTAL PICKS: # 2, # 30, # 32, # 42)
Monday, February 3: Players report to preseason training at the Bubble in Giants Stadium
Saturday, February 8: Open tryouts for local soccer players at the Bubble in Giants Stadium, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET (PLAYERS MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE)
Tuesday, February 18 - Sunday, March 2: Training at Bradenton, Florida, IMG Academy
Monday, March 3 - Tuesday, March 11: Training in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Friday, March 14 - Friday, March 28: Training in Buenos Aires, Argentina
The exact training schedule times have yet to be determined.
