McBRIDE SCORES 10 MINUTES INTO HIS PREMIER LEAGUE DEBUT FOR EVERTON, ALSO ADDS AN ASSIST IN 4-3 LOSS TO TOTTENHAM

Crew forward Brian McBride didn't waste any time in making his presence felt for Everton, which he recently joined on loan, by scoring 10 minutes into his English Premier League debut.

McBride joined Everton in early January and was promptly inserted into the starting 11 by Manager David Moyes on Sunday in Everton's first game since McBride had arrived.

Just 10 minutes into his first game, against fellow U.S. International goalkeeper Kasey Keller and Tottenham, McBride beat Keller with a right-footed shot to put Everton up 1-0. McBride also added an assist on Everton's third goal but his team lost 4-3.

"He's not played for a couple of months at least but he showed that he is a willing workhorse and he scored a real good goal," Moyes said on Evertonfc.com. "You can't get enough of those type of players. I thought he did well for us. He never shirked any challenges and he took his goal well and did great to give us the full 90 minutes."

Everton plays at home against Sunderland on Saturday, Jan. 18.
