SECAUCUS, NJ (Tuesday, November 29, 2005) - The MetroStars announced today that the club will be featured on the latest episode of MTV's hit television show MADE, which will air tomorrow night, Wednesday, November 30 at 10:00 p.m. ET on MTV. Though many aspects of the club were involved in the taping of the show (which took place during August), specifically MetroStars President and General Manager Alexi Lalas, Head Coach Mo Johnston, and players Jason Hernandez, Mike Magee and Seth Stammler are featured in the episode.
MADE is a reality program now in its fourth season on MTV that features teens attempting to achieve extreme lifestyle makeovers. On every new episode of MADE, one willing candidate embarks on a mission to transform his or her life.
In Wednesday's episode, teenager Josh Turk from Bethel, Vermont joined forces with the MetroStars to learn how to play soccer and try and make his high school varsity soccer team. Though most of his training was done in Vermont with an extended member of the MetroStars family, Steve Kulpa (native of Wyckoff, NJ), Turk spent two days in New Jersey with the MetroStars (training one day and attending their match on August 21 against Chivas USA which resulted in a 3-3 draw on the second day).
