Corpus Christi Sharks News Release

The Corpus Christi Sharks are primed and ready for the biggest game in franchise history Saturday night when they host the Austin Wranglers in a battle for 1st place in the Southwest Division of the National Conference.

"This is without a doubt the biggest game in the short history of the Sharks organization", said Sharks VP / General Manager, Larry Linde. "There's excitement in the air and I trust our fans will make Radiology Associates Field at the American Bank Center a very uncomfortable place for the Wranglers on Saturday", Linde added.

Sharks Coach, Mike Trigg cautioned fans not to underestimate the Wranglers. "They are a much improved team than the one we defeated in the first week of the season", Trigg said. "But if we play like we're capable of, take care of the football, and execute on offence, we should be able to have some success and hopefully come out of the game in control of the division".

In addition to the high stakes game on the field, the Sharks will also be celebrating Father's Day Weekend with Men's Night presented by Andrews Distributing, Corpus Christi Harley-Davidson, and Classic Rock 104.5 FM. Prior to the game fans will be treated to a Car and Motorcycle Show outside the arena, plus, a complimentary tailgate party courtesy of the Sharks and the Back-Off Cookers.

Throughout the game fans will also have the opportunity to win fabulous prizes including tickets to Candlebox courtesy of Classic Rock 104.5, tickets to a Dallas Cowboys Game this fall, plus one lucky fan (21+) will win Beer for a Year. The first 1,000 men in attendance will also receive a Lady Sharks Dance Team photo courtesy of Andrews Distributing.

Festivities begin at 5:00pm with the car / motorcycle show and tailgate party. Doors to the arena will open at 6:00pm with kick-off set for 7:05pm.

Tickets for Saturday's huge match-up are available at all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com, the American Bank Center box office or by calling (361) 881-8499. Tickets for the game are available for as low as $11. For more information or to inquire about discounted group rates call the Sharks Office at (361) 882-9292 or visit www.ccsharks.com
