Charleston, SC - The newest RiverDog, Luis Cedeno, led Charleston (11-5) to a 1-0 victory on Friday. The Gnats were held to just three hits on the night, after putting up 11 on Thursday.

The Gnats and R'Dogs were scoreless until the fourth inning, when OF Dustin Fowler came into score after a sacrifice fly from Connor Spencer.

Sand Gnats starter RHP Casey Meisner (1-1, 2.12) was saddled with the tough luck loss, after throwing six innings allowing just five hits, a run, and striking out five.

Designated Hitter Tomas Nido and 2B Jonathan Johnson tallied the lone hits for the Gnats. Nido's hit came in the 8th inning, which was followed by a walk issued to Catcher Tyler Moore. The Gnats would strand two in the inning.

Reliever David Roseboom came into work the seventh and pitched two innings with five K's, which tied the team-high for strikeouts in relief.

The Sand Gnats will send RHP Josh Prevost (0-2, 7.15) to the hill in game three of the series. The R'Dogs will give RHP Joey Maher (0-0, 1.86) the ball for the 6:05 PM start. Your Sand Gnats will return home to Savannah on Tuesday, April 28th to face the Delmarva Shorebirds at 7:05 PM.
