
Medford Overcomes Three Gems Homers, Wins 5-4

Medford, OR: July 19, 2013. Dylan Rogers stroked a two out, pinch hit 2 run homer in the 9th inning to tie the game, but Medford scored in the bottom of the inning to defeat the Gems 5-4 on Friday night at Harry and David Field in Medford. Nick Fisher (Linfield College) and Cody Hough (UC Riverside) both hit solo home runs as the Gems fell to 17-18 on the year.
Jack Karraker (Fresno City College) took the loss in relief for the Gems, falling to 1-2. Hector Lujon (UC Santa Barbara) won his third win of the year in relief for Medford. Medford won its fourth straight game and improved to 18-19 overall. Both the Gems and the Rogues are tied for 4th place in the South Division,
