Medford Rogues News Release

MEDFORD, OR - Offensive struggles plagued the Rogues as they fell to the Corvallis Knights 5-1 in the last game of a three-game series at Harry and David Field before a crowd of 1,588 fans.

The Rogues fall to 5-10 in the West Coast League as the Knights improve to 8-7 on the season.

The Knights found success late to keep the game out of reach for the Rogues scoring three runs in the top of the ninth giving them a four run lead as Medford continues to have problems with their relief pitching.

Medford fell behind early in the first inning and failed to get a lead, recording only four hits on the night being out hit for the second game in a row by Corvallis who tallied 10 hits.

Starting pitcher Brandon Williams took the loss for the Rogues going seven full innings allowing six hits and two runs while striking out two. Outfielder Shakeel Newton scored the only run of the night for the Rogues on a wild pitch.

The Rogues prepare to leave for a three game away stand against the Walla Walla Sweets before returning home on June 24th to face off against the Wenatchee AppleSox.
