Fraser, MI â The Motor City Mechanics announced today that Detroit hockey icon Steve Yzerman has signed a two week contract with the organization. The long-time Red Wing captain joins the team with just seven games remaining in the season. The Mechanics need to win all seven games to make the playoffs. Mechanics President John Tull commented on the acquisition "April Fools!"
The Mechanics are home tonight at 7:30pm against the Elmira Jackals. Tickets are still available! Saturday, game time is 7:30pm when the Fort Wayne Komets visit The Garage. On Sunday, the Jackals return. The game will be broadcast live on UPN 50 at 5:00pm. Tickets still remain for all home games!
