Mechanics add eleventh Player To 2005-06 Roster

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics, proud members of the United Hockey League (UHL) are pleased to announce the signing of Center, Adam Edinger.

Edinger, 27, a Toledo, Ohio native, will be entering his sixth professional season, after stints with the Trenton Titans of the ECHL (1999-00, 2002-03), New Orleans Brass (2000-2002), and splitting time with Toledo and Peoria of the AHL during the 2003-04 season.

With 284 professional games under his belt, Edinger has compiled 117 goals, 157 assists for 274 points. His best season to date was in 2000-01 with the New Orleans Brass when he tallied career highs in assists (45) and points (76). His career high in goals came in 2002-03 with the Trenton Titans when he tallied 33 goals.

"We are very excited to add Adam to our team. He's been a prolific scorer wherever he's played and he's certain to be one of our premiere players as we continue to build towards a colonial cup," said Mechanics Head Coach, Danton Cole.

That brings the total number of players under contract for the 2005-06 season to eleven. All-Star Defenseman, Kevin Hansen, former Michigan State Spartan Defenseman, Chris Bogas, returning Center, Chris Gignac, Forward, Mike Burgoyne, Ukrainian Right Wing, Konstantin Kalmikov, Goaltender, Rod Branch, rookie Forwards, Peter Szabo, Mike Ramsay, Julian Smith and Greg Bullock are all heading to "The Garage."

The Mechanics open the 2005-06 season October 21st when they visit the Missouri River Otters and come join the Mechanics for opening weekend when they face off against the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday October 28th, and the Port Huron Flags on Saturday October 29th.

Every fan that enters the Garage on October 28th will receive a complimentary opening night collectible game puck sponsored by McDonald's. Opening night is also a youth hockey celebration as all youth teams are encouraged to come join the fun and participate in the first intermission team parade, and meet McDonald's own, Ronald McDonald!
