Round Rock Express News Release
A two-run single by Tydus Meadows in the bottom of the eighth lifted the Wichita Wranglers to a 10-8 win over the Round Rock Express in the finale of an eight game road trip.
Meadows came to the plate with the bases loaded and the game tied 8-8 and delivered a clean single to center off of James Lira (0-2). The hit was the last in a wild game that saw the teams combine for 30 hits and fail to score in only one of the the eight full innings played.
There were plenty of offensive highlights for Round Rock. Chris Tremie hit a pair of home runs and Anthony Acevedo added one. Tremie, Acevedo and Jon Topolski each had three hits.
Nate Field (1-0) got the win in relief for Wichita.
The Express now returns home and will play the first of an eight-game home stand against El Paso Friday at 7:05 p.m.
