RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers are excited to announce that forward Brannon McManus, along with 15 other players with United States Hockey League rights were named to the 20-man roster for the USA Hockey Under-17 Select Team that will compete at the Five Nations Tournament from August 10th through the 16th in Arosa, Switzerland.

"It's an honor to represent my country and wear the jersey," said McManus. "I am looking forward to playing with a great group of guys on Team USA next month. Hopefully, we will have a great tournament."

During USA Hockey's Development Camp that ended yesterday in Williamsville, New York, McManus led all players with 11 points (5g, 6a) in five games played.

"It is a very special time when you have the opportunity to represent your country," said Omaha Lancers Head Coach and General Manager Brian Kaufman. "We're all very excited and proud of Brannon. We wish him the best of luck in Switzerland."

Prior to the Lancers signing McManus to a tender contract, the California native racked up 206 points in 120 games played at Shattuck St. Mary's, including 120 points during the 2013-2014 season.

"I can't wait to get back to Omaha and play for the Lancers this season," McManus concluded. "It's going to be an exciting team."

In addition to McManus, the United States Hockey League saw 15 other draft picks from the 2015 USHL Phase One Draft, including Jacob Tortora (Youngstown Phantoms) and Joey Keane (Dubuque Fighting Saints).
