JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Suns starter Will McCrotty led the Suns to a 4-0 victory over the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx in front of 4,430 fans Tuesday at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

McCrotty (2-5) earned the win, delivering seven shutout innings, scattering five hits, walking two and tying a career-best with six strikeouts. Luis Pineda and Elvin Nina each pitched a perfect inning of relief as the Suns (57-63 overall, 26-25 second half) retired the final 13 batters of the game.

Nick Alvarez singled home Shane Victorino in the first inning, giving Jacksonville all the run support it needed. Nick Theodorou, Victor Rodriguez and Reggie Abercrombie each had RBI singles in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings, respectively, to pad the Suns' lead.

Diamond Jaxx starter Felix Sanchez (1-2) earned the loss, allowing three runs and five hits over six innings.

Jason Repko had two hits to lead the Suns. Brendan Harris had two hits to pace West Tenn (57-64, 23-28).

Left-hander Greg Miller (1-0, 0.00 ERA) is scheduled to face Diamond Jaxx righty Mike Nannini (9-7, 3.74) at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

SUNS MAKE MOVES: The Los Angeles Dodgers promoted catcher Edwin Bellorin and right-handed pitcher Elvin Nina from Class A-Advanced Vero Beach to the Suns. The Dodgers released catcher B.J. Waszgis to make room on the roster.

Bellorin, 21, was a Florida State League All-Star this season with the Dodgers. In his fifth professional season, Bellorin was batting .245 with three home runs and 28 RBI in 66 games. Bellorin will play everyday over the final three weeks of the regular season, the Dodgers said.

Nina, 27, was signed by the Dodgers this summer after he was released by the independent Newark Bears. The right-handed pitcher owns a fastball clocked as high as 93 mph in Vero Beach and a sharp breaking ball. He pitched in the Anaheim Angels organization last season at Class AAA Salt Lake. With Vero Beach this season, Nina allowed two runs over five innings in five relief appearances.

Waszgis, 32, joined the Suns in late May and batted .181 with one home run and nine RBI in 40 games.
